Meet Dr. Bryan Brown, an associate professor of science education at Stanford University. His work focuses on improving urban science education focusing on exploring how language and identity impact urban students’ learning. His book, Science in the City, was recently published and expands on the ideas on how science education can flourish if it is connected to students’ backgrounds, identities, language, and culture.
